Jake Rubin, Executive Director
Originally from Richmond, Jake holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University. In 2009, he received his Rabbinic ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (RRC), from which he also graduated with a Master's of Arts in Hebrew Letters. While a student at RRC, Jake served as the Jewish Student Advisor at Swarthmore College, an affiliate of Hillel of Greater Philadelphia. He also worked as a chaplain for Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia and as an educator and student Rabbi for a number of congregations during his time at RRC. Prior to rabbinical school, Jake was a fellow for PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values. Jake has joined our community along with his wife Lindsay and their children Sophie and Jonah. Jenna Rabhan, Assistant Director
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Jenna completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin, receiving a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences. While at UT, Jenna was an active student leader at Texas Hillel and President of her sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi (AEPhi). Upon graduating college, Jenna worked at Central Florida Hillel in Orlando, attributing her decision to pursue a career in the Jewish community to her Short-Term Service experience as a student. Jenna continued working at Central Florida Hillel in the capacity of Program Director until July of 2010 when she came to UVa. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida.
